僅基於認知測試分數的聚類分析確定了三個亞組（NCOG_1、NCOG_2和NCOG_3），它們具有不同的認知特徵，儘管死後神經病理學發現相似。 NCOG_2表現出相對保留的認知功能（平均MMSE=26/30）和顯著較年輕的死亡年齡。
