結果顯示，與安大略省相比，不列顛哥倫比亞省和曼尼托巴省的居民生活品質較低。 一些與較低生活品質相關的臨床因素包括抑鬱癥狀、反應性行為和健康不穩定。 此外，住在大型養老院與較低的生活品質評分相關，而住在小型養老院的居民則相反。 更嚴重的認知障礙也與工作人員評估的更高生活質量相關。
研究人員指出，種族和民族等社會特徵與生活質量沒有顯著關聯，但包含社會特徵以及臨床和養老院變數的模型解釋了最多的方差並具有最佳的模型擬合度。 這表明這三個領域共同有助於理解居民的生活品質。
